it didn't do that to my profile. are you sure you're only editing the first code? cause the only thing that changes would be the background.

Only cop&paste the first code. Then change the 'FFFFFF' where it says 'background-color: #FFFFFF;' to any color you want. you can always google the color chart. If you want to put an image in your background then change where it says 'image url here' to the url of any image you want.
